Pengbo Si (司鹏搏) was born in November 1983, and received the Bachelor's degree in communications engineering, 2004, and PhD degree (supervised by Prof. Ji, Hong at the Key Lab. of Universal Wireless Communications, Ministry of Education) in communication and information system, 2009, both from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He joined Beijing University of Technology in 2009, where he is currently an associate professor and the Deputy Dean of the College of Information and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology. During November 2007 and November 2008, he was a visiting PhD student at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, supervised by Prof. Fei Richard Yu and Prof. Victor C.M. Leung (IEEE Fellow). During September and December 2011, he was involved in a short course at the University of Warwick, Coventry, UK. During November 2014 and November 2015, he was a visiting professor at the University of Florida, Gainesville FL, with Prof. Yuguang "Michael" Fang (IEEE and AAAS Fellow). Dr. Si received the Best Paper Runner Up Award (Top 3 among all the accepted papers) in the 10th International Conference on Wireless Algorithms, Systems, and Applications (WASA) in 2015. He is a senior member of the IEEE (2015). Dr. Si was enrolled in the Beijing Nova Program (2017-2019).

He serves as the Associate Editor of International Journal on AdHoc Networking Systems, and the Editorial Board Member of Ad Hoc & Sensor Wireless Networks. He also served as the Guest Editor of Advances in Mobile Cloud Computing, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing Special Issue, Technical Program Committee (TPC) Co-Chair of IEEE ICCC’13-GMCN, Program Vice Chair of IEEE GreenCom’13, and TPC member of IEEE GLOBECOM 2011, INFOCOM-CWCN 2010, ICUMT 2010, CHINACOM-CRNet 2010, etc.

He is also the reviewer of IEEE Journal on Selected Area on Communications (IEEE JSAC, IF 3.758), IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, Wireless Networks, Journal of Engineering and Computer Innovations, International Journal of Communication Systems, European Transactions on Telecommunications, IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, WCNC, VTC, etc.
